First Visit at Fracture Clinic

So big day today at the Fracture Clinic. Had an interesting wheelchair ride over to the hospital. I never realized how the Hamilton sidewalks are in horrible shape. It is funny how you overlook the little things like this when they don't affect you. So I signed in at the Fracture Clinic and actually met up with my first roommate. It was really great to see him. I waited around for 20 minutes and my name was called. I thought that was pretty quick. So laid down on the bed the kind but serious man working in this area had me lay down on my side for the first time. It felt good not to be on my back but it felt odd. So he got the okay from the resident that he could take out the stitches. The top stitch was the longest of the 3 incisions that were made as it removed it hurt the most but after my experience pain is measured in a new way. The rest of the stitches were a cake walk.

So once that was done the resident came in and we had a talk. I was surprised that the specialist being that I only had seen him once and that was just before my surgery. Anyhow the resident is really soft spoken and kind. I asked him how the surgery was done and he explained it to me which I found quite interesting. Saw my x-rays for the first time as well. However during Q&A a nurse kept walking by and then finally barged in, she was hovering of the resident as though he was taking his sweet time. I am thinking do you mind lady I have questions that need answering. It came to the point that I asked a question and she was answering for him. I kept thinking what the hell lady get out of here!

Anyways left the room got another appointment made up and left for home. Got home and just relaxed had a nap and being that I got the okay from the doctor to travel we planned to leave for my home town on Wednesday for a little while. I was really excited because I also tracked my package and my Macbook was to arrive tomorrow!
