So I get back down to the Fracture Clinic see the nurse behind the desk and I ask how many more people are in front of me. I find out I am the 12th in line! My appoinment was supposed to be at 12:50 and it is now 1:30 and we showed up at 12:15. So basically I was there 4 and 1/2 hours before even getting in to see the doctor. By this time my leg was just killing me from sitting in my wheel chair for this long period of time and I was not prepared like the boy scouts taught me to be. I did not bring any extra percocept for the pain. So I wheeled in the room got up on the table. The specialist walked in said hi shook my hand and I could tell that he was behind by the way he was zipping about the room. Then "she" walked in the room my good friend the nurse from my first visit whom which found the need to answer my questions to the resident.
So we had a look at the x-rays and none of the bones had shifted out of place however none of the bones had started to fuse. He figured being that it was only a month that it was too early for that process to begin. So I guess you could say that the news was good. I proceed to ask a couple of questions which oddly enough the nurse kept her mouth shut. Then one final test before I leave, he then proceeded to check the flexion on my knee. I laid down put my leg up and he started to bend it too it's limits which was not very much the nurse came over to help the doctor and started to apply pressure to my leg to make it bend more. Now she says "just relax" and retort by saying "I am relaxed and the knee is going bend anymore even if you jump on it" So the doctor takes his reading, sees that my flexion is still very low and decides to send me to a private physio clinic to have them work me over.
So my next appointment is a month away at the beginning of October. So hopefully with the help of the physio therapist my knee will be bending and my hip will be nice and strong.
