Chiropractor / Sports Therapist

So since my stay in Sudbury I have been seeing this amazing chiropractor by the name of Dr. Martin. Who simply put in one simple word is "amazing". He sat down and we had a good chat about what stage I was at in my healing process and gave me some insight that my surgeon did not. I found out some other interesting facts as to why my knee is still buckling and refuses to bend. Even though I have spent hours try to woo my knee to bend and still it refuses to play nice.

So my prognosis thus far is that my meniscus is all swollen, which is affecting the way my knee bends. It is actually telling my quads to tighten up and in turn not allowing the knee to bend. So after our chat he started poking and prodding around my leg and determined that had still had swelling on the side of my leg where the incisions were made and the inclusive meniscus. So once all this was determined he went to work on me and I tell you it was liking getting a deep tissue massage but the pain level was pretty good till he got to the knee and the best way to describe it is that someone took a pencil jammed it on the side of my knee and started to twist. However aside from that it was great.

I got home and thought hell it was not that bad then later that night before falling asleep the "deep tissue" massage kicked into overdrive! I complain about it now but after seeing him for 3 sessions my swelling has come down but on my leg and the evil meniscus. So all in all it is worth the pain. Now I just pray that all his hard work and my pain will have some results in me not getting a second operation as the pre mentioned bone graft in my previous blog. We are both hopping that he can enhance blood circulation in the leg to promote healing and some bone growth over the breaks.
