Third Visit at the Fracture Clinic

So Monday was my third visit at the clinic. Overall it went pretty good, my wait time was reduced drastically to only 2 1/2 hours which compared to last time it was great! So I got some new x-rays taken to see how the my breaks are progressing. Waited a little while longer for my name to be called. Then it got called and my friend the nurse whom was there holding my file and waving me in. All I could think to myself stay positive and maybe she will be in a good mood today and wouldn't you know it she was. What a delight! So I sat down on the "table" and waited for the surgeon to show up. After a good chat with the surgeon he told me that I was to progress to full weight bearing, I was also given a shiny set of crutches! So that news really put a smile on my face as now I can really push hard with my physio exercises.

However with the good there was some potential bad news. I may have to have a second surgery as the inside part of my leg is healing very well but the outside part of my leg there seems to be a bone fragment that shows no real signs of healing. So with that being said I may have to get a bone graft done. Which to my first thought was being laid up in the hospital again yay sounds like fun!

So all in all I plan on working hard and working towards my goal of being able to mountain bike by early spring.
